This year’s event was a bit different since finalists and friends could not gather at the Hyatt but instead individually watch from their homes or offices. There also was a change with the addition of three new categories for non-MEP contractors to have an equal chance to be recognized for their hard work and construction excellence. A total of 16 awards were given to various general contractors, subcontractors, and non-MEP contractors in this year’s event; and out of the three submissions Murphy Company sent in, the contractor was recognized for all three, receiving two ACE Awards and one bronze award.
- ACE Award – Platte Fifteen – Best Building Project $2 – $6 Million – Subcontractor
- ACE Award – United Airlines Flight Training Center Building G – Best Building Project $6 – $10 Million – Subcontractor
- Bronze Award – Children’s Health Pavilion – Best Building Project $6 – $10 Million – Subcontractor
After the virtual event concluded, you could hear cheers in Murphy’s office from the great news! Briana Carter, Manager of Corporate Marketing said, “Although we couldn’t share this moment with the project team in person and in front of our industry peers, it was still great to hear ‘Murphy Company’ so many times virtually!” Greg Friess, Senior Vice President also stated, “Great job to the teams that supported on making these projects so successful, putting Murphy Company in the best position to win.”
