Murphy Company offers internships and co-ops in various departments to provide students the opportunity to experience jobs in the construction industry.

Internships and Co-ops allow students to combine classroom learning with real-world experience. Many of our interns and co-ops are mechanical engineering or construction management students; however, we also offer internships to management information system, information technology, marketing, and business administration students. We strive to make these opportunities meaningful by offering practical experience and exposure to real-world events students will encounter in the construction industry.

Our internships and co-op opportunities have a history of success and are proven to be a springboard to launching a career at Murphy Company. For example, approximately 40% of our Design-Build team is comprised of former Murphy interns and co-ops who began their careers with us after graduation.

Internships and co-op opportunities are valuable to the student and Murphy. The students explore different roles within their field of study and Murphy is exposed to students passionate about their future careers. It’s another example of developing enduring relationships that start before the student’s career begins.
