Award from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Missouri for its work on the Scottrade Center Condenser Water System & Building Automation Upgrade. Capturing First Place in the Specialty Contractor/Subcontractor Building Construction Category for Projects under $5 million, Murphy executed the work on an extremely tight timeline in order to complete the project in time for the opening of the St. Louis Blues’ 50th Anniversary season.
Murphy designed, engineered and installed the new system, replacing cooling towers, installing new pumps and piping, new controls and remote monitoring. The work was completed while keeping Scottrade Center and adjacent Peabody Opera House air-conditioned and fully operational for scheduled events.
The award was presented to Murphy Company and Scottrade at the 20th Annual Construction Awards Gala held Nov. 9th at the Ameristar Casino Resort & Spa in St. Charles.
