BJC Healthcare – Missouri Baptist Sullivan Emergency Department Renovations

Murphy Company was contracted by Kadean Construction to execute a comprehensive, seven-phase renovation of the Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital’s Emergency Department. This complex project involved a full facility overhaul, including the construction of new exam rooms, upgrades to the medical gas systems, installation of variable air volume (VAV) boxes, a new rooftop unit (RTU), and a complete plumbing renovation throughout the entire building.

To successfully deliver this project, Murphy’s team implemented value engineering (VE) strategies to optimize design and cost-efficiency, and leveraged prefabrication techniques to streamline construction and minimize disruption to hospital operations. A collaborative relationship with both the Owner and General Contractor was key to the project’s success – our team worked closely with all stakeholders, providing proactive input and feedback to fine-tune the construction schedule and ensure smooth execution across all phases.

The project was completed on time, within budget, and with zero safety incidents – a testament to Murphy’s commitment to excellence, safety, and client satisfaction.
