MilliporeSigma – Spruce Project Oligo

Murphy performed the transformation of a shell space into a fully functional facility designed to meet the client’s specialized operational needs. The buildout included a 1,461 square-foot clean room, an 890 square-foot synthesis lab, a 395 square-foot controlled temperature storage area, and a 300 square-foot final storage space. Each area was carefully constructed to meet exacting standards of precision and performance.

To support these specialized spaces, Murphy implemented critical infrastructure enhancements. The team installed new sanitary waste systems, hot and cold water supplies, and tempered water provisions to accommodate lab sinks, eyewash stations, and safety showers. Mechanical upgrades, including a new chiller, indoor air handler, and exhaust system, were essential in providing the HVAC and exhaust capacity required for reliable operations. Murphy also extended Helium and Nitrogen lines from storage tanks to end users, along with reagent piping from the Denios storage structure to end users, ensuring safe and efficient distribution throughout the facility.

Murphy’s collaboration with MilliporeSigma was instrumental in the development and execution of the reagent system design. By contributing expertise and guidance throughout the design and implementation phases, Murphy ensured seamless integration of systems and functionality within the new facility. This partnership, along with meticulous planning and execution, was key to the project’s success.
