Procter & Gamble – Project Cybertron

Murphy Company was contracted to install a new chilled water system which included: (1) 900-ton water-cooled chiller, (2) 1,000-ton cooling tower cells, (1) chilled water pump skid with (3) 1,900 GPM pumps, and (1) condenser water pump skid with (4) 2,250 GPM pumps. Our piping scope of work included 18″ condenser water mains and 14″ chilled water main. Our team also installed the compressed air system which included: (2) 7,000 cfm water-cooled air compressors, (2) air dryers, and (1) 23,000 gallon air receiver and all of the compressed air piping was schedule 40 welded stainless steel (up to 10″). We installed the intake and exhaust for the air compressors plus general ventilation and all sanitary waste piping, vent piping, and domestic water for sinks and safety showers.

Murphy Company had over 40% of the hours in the fabrication shop and maximized off-site fabrication with pipe racks and interconnecting pipe. Our team had minimal field welds and maintained safe working site conditions for all.
