It’s Mental Health Awareness Month! At Murphy Company, we’re committed to supporting the well-being of our team and the greater construction community. This week, we’re highlighting the difference between mental health and mental illness, and sharing simple tips to help you better understand both.
Mental Health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It impacts how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental Illness, on the other hand, includes conditions that affect a person’s thinking, feeling, mood, or behavior—such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
How To Take Action:
Foster environments that support mental health and promote a balanced lifestyle. Reach out and connect with local and national organizations working to improve mental health awareness in the construction industry.
