🌟Project Spotlight🌟 Murphy Company is proud to have recently wrapped up work on a laboratory facility in North St. Louis County! This 82,000+ SF single-story building was constructed on an existing site within the St. Louis Promise Zone. Using information gathered during Murphy’s VDC process, our team developed a detailed model to support the prefabrication of ductwork, piping systems, and equipment skids.
Above ground, large ductwork and pipe racks (carrying domestic water, chilled water, DI water, glycol, and condenser water) are supported from the steel structure to efficiently serve the building.
The laboratory’s mechanical systems feature custom air handling units and dedicated TIGG-welded exhaust systems, integrated with a heat recovery system. Additional piping systems – including natural gas, nitrogen, lab air, and lab vacuum – serve each lab space and contribute to the success of this complex project.
