On Sunday, volunteers from our St. Louis office spent some time on the Meramec River participating in one of the country’s most significant and longest-running river restoration projects – Operation Clean Stream. Our volunteers helped to remove a couple of tires, umbrellas, bricks, scrap metal, pieces of a lawn chair, and multiple bags of trash from the river and surrounding riverbank.
Operation Clean Stream, organized by The Open Space Council for the St. Louis Region, works to undo the harmful effects of flooding, littering, and the improper disposal of waste that accumulates throughout the year. Thank you to all those who volunteered to help keep the Meramec River enjoyable for everyone!
