Murphy Company provided all the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning as well as the plumbing for River City Casino’s new seven-level, 200-room luxury hotel that opened in 2013. The project also included a new 14,000-square-foot Event Center adjacent to the hotel and opening the same year.
The hotel has two 30-ton rooftop air-handling units that were lifted by crane to service the common areas and Event Center. Each of the elegant 200 hotel rooms has its own stacked HVAC unit and private bath. Murphy also was responsible for the HVAC, luxury baths, and bar sinks in the Executive Suites on the upper levels. The schedule for the Event Center had a hard deadline because of nationally-named entertainers booked for the Grand Opening. Murphy also was responsible for the backstage amenity areas, small kitchens, and private baths for the entertainers as well as a lobby Gift Shop and Commissary.
