Toyota – Bodine Aluminum

Bodine Aluminum, a Toyota company, is a 550,000-square-foot facility on 75 acres in Troy, MO that supplies four-cylinder, six-cylinder, and eight-cylinder aluminum castings to support all Toyota assembly operations in North America. This project was completed in several phases and included BIM layout and design between Murphy and other trades including electrical, millwright, and structural. Our ability to pre-plan and utilize prefabrication pipe and ductwork rack sections to expedite installation during a short plant shutdown was critical. Murphy removed existing casting lines and installed new lines for intake manifolds. The work consisted of piping, ductwork located under the deck, and utility racks overhead. The new equipment consisted of casting machines, furnaces, and associated robotics.
