Murphy Company was contracted to complete a complex process installation to bring Eden Innovations from a small R&D operation to a full-scale manufacturing of their concrete additive products. Transformation of this manufacturing facility was broken into two phases: one which was a standard lump sum contract and the other a design/build renovation.
Phase 1: The scope included the installation of large reactor furnaces and afterburners, process piping, structural steel, electrical, and general construction. In this phase, Murphy Company acted as the prime contractor, which presented unique challenges with the aggressive 4-month schedule.
Phase 2: Phase 2 was a design/build renovation of an existing space in a new research laboratory. Again, Murphy Company led the design team through the development of the project and helped the client turn a conceptual list of needs into an actionable and efficient design. As the mechanical prime, we led a team of general constructors and electrical contractors to successfully complete this project.
