Agilent Technologies – Purification Suite Expansion

Murphy Company was contracted by Howell Construction to do a build of Agilent Boulder’s existing Purification Suite. This included installing new floor drains, vents, and safety showers on the plumbing side in a 1,800-square-foot space. The underground work had to be completed within a tight schedule, as this put Agilent’s production on hold. Our team collaborated closely with Howell and Agilent to have our scope completed in less than a week and in order to not affect daily operations and production.

The remaining work consisted of process piping and HVAC duct installation to meet the ISO 8 clean room standards. With limited space, we used a design-assist approach to route and install all duct and process piping. Again, we worked closely with Agilent on all routing and fabrication to ensure a proper installation. A filtration skid, several small vessels, and a fume hood were all set and installed by Murphy. This was a challenging high-purity job in a small space. Ultimately, we were able to meet the critical deadlines and deliver a quality product.
